One of the best parts of renting with Vehicle Solutions is the contactless experience, including the way you access the vehicle. About 30 minutes prior to your confirmed pick-up time, you will receive a custom link to a digital key. This will begin the process of accessing your Tesla.
Essential steps for using a digital key
Download the “Charge Key” App
Prior to receiving your digital key link, download the Charge Key app. This will allow for seamless accessibility as soon as your digital key link is sent. The app can be found in both the Apple and Google Play stores. (Once you have downloaded the app, you will be able to skip this step for future trips.)
Pre-Authorize a Payment Option
When you receive your digital key link, copy the link, and paste it into the Charge Key app. It will then prompt you to enter your payment information which will allow you to unlock your digital key. It will authorize your card by charging a $1.00 pre-authorization fee.
Keep Payments Up to Date
Ensure you enter a valid form of payment. The Charge Key app will bill you for charging throughout the duration of your rental. Any outstanding invoices over $15.00 will disable the key.
